The first such plane to fly on hydrogen fuel will be able to fly around the world

Due to climate change, technologies are being worked on around the world which are environment friendly and do not emit toxic gases.

A team of French experts is working on the development of a hydrogen-powered aircraft that will be able to travel around the world.

This aircraft has been named Climate Impulse which will be able to fly around the world in just 9 days by burning environmentally friendly hydrogen fuel.

The research team is led by Bertrand Picard from Switzerland, who was previously part of the team that developed Solar Impulse, a solar-powered plane that circumnavigated the globe between 2015 and 2016.

Bertrand Picard believes that the hydrogen fueled aircraft will be the mainstay of the aviation industry.

The first round-the-world flight of this aircraft is targeted for 2028, while its test flights will begin in 2026.

Bertrand Picard said that solar-powered aircraft could not be used for commercial flights because large batteries would waste too much energy.

He said that in our opinion, hydrogen fueled aircraft will be more effective.

He further said that many people believe that eco-friendly flights are not possible but our developed aircraft will challenge this idea.

The design of this aircraft will also be quite unique and according to Bertrand Picard it will be built mainly around hydrogen tanks.

The aircraft will have a small central cabin for the pilots and 2 large tanks to store liquid hydrogen.

A thin wing would tie all of these together, while each tank would have a propeller and a tail to keep the flight stable.

The biggest challenge for this aircraft right now is keeping the hydrogen in liquid form during flight at very low temperatures.

Rafael Danieli, involved in the design and manufacturing process of this aircraft, said that the biggest challenge would be to maintain hydrogen in liquid form even at minus 253 degrees Celsius.

That is why a team of experts is working on developing a thermal fuel tank that can keep fuel in liquid form during a 9-day flight.

Other parts of the aircraft will also be manufactured using latest technologies and materials.
