The researchers collected all kinds of details about these individuals and also observed what their diet was.

These individuals were divided into different groups based on dietary habits and their health and dietary habits were monitored for 20 years.

In the final phase, 1,415 more people were included in the study and the results showed that those who consumed the Mediterranean diet had a lower risk of developing high blood pressure.

However, the risk of being affected by blood pressure has increased to 35.5% in people suffering from poor dietary habits.

Studies have shown that long-term Mediterranean dieters have a 46.5% lower risk of developing high blood pressure.

Research findings emphasize that dietary habits play an important role in developing or protecting against high blood pressure.

The researchers acknowledged that the results of the study were limited because they only included people of Greek descent, but past evidence suggests that the Mediterranean diet is more beneficial for health.

He said that it is difficult for everyone to follow the Mediterranean diet, so use more fruits and vegetables while ensuring the consumption of nuts, grains, seeds and lean meat.
