Pakistani film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ stopped in India

Pakistan’s blockbuster film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ has been stopped in Indian cinemas.

According to Indian media, superstar Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan’s blockbuster film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ was to be released in theaters in Indian Punjab today, but now its release has been postponed.

Pakistani film producer Nadeem Mandviwalla, who is the film distributor of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ in India, confirmed the news of the postponement of the film’s release and said that the film has been stopped due to the court order.

“Unfortunately, the release of the film has been stopped once again and no one can do anything until the court gives its verdict,” Nadeem Mandviwalla said.

Earlier, Hindu extremists in India had threatened to stop the release of Pakistani film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ in India.

Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray had threatened theatre owners in maharashtra and said that the film would not be allowed to be released in the state under any circumstances.

‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’, a remake of the 1979 classic Maula Jatt, was released in 2022, which did record-breaking business worldwide.
