Belarus’s decision to expand the scope of visa-free entry scheme to 35 countries

Under the new policy, citizens of EU member states will be allowed to stay for up to 30 days without a visa

In a move to boost ties with Western countries, Belarus has announced the extension of its visa-free entry scheme to 34 European countries, now including the United Kingdom .  

Starting on July 19, 2024, the new policy allows citizens of these European countries to enter and stay in Belarus without a visa for up to 30 days at a time, with an annual limit of 90 days.

Belarusian authorities have clarified that the visa-free entry scheme will be available to travelers arriving by air, road and rail. President Alexander’s decision comes as he prepares for his seventh five-year term after elections next year.

 Countries eligible for this visa-free entry include Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway.
