Belarusian President arrives in Islamabad on 3-day visit

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko arrived in Islamabad on a 3-day visit.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received the Belarusian President at Nur Khan Airbase. The Belarusian President is visiting Pakistan until November 27.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar and senior government officials were also present to welcome the distinguished guest.

The Belarusian President will meet Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad during his visit to Pakistan. The Pak-Belarus leadership will hold talks to enhance bilateral cooperation and ties.

In addition, several agreements and memoranda of understanding will be signed during the visit of the President of Belarus to Pakistan.

It may be recalled that a 68-member high-level delegation led by the Foreign Minister of Belarus arrived in Pakistan yesterday. The delegation includes key ministers of the Belarusian cabinet, as well as prominent businessmen and investors.

At Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s invitation, the president of Belarus has now arrived in Pakistan on Monday.
